Mbeya University of Science and Technology admission requirements

The entry requirements for successful admission into the degree and non-degree courses vary depending on the program you wish to enroll in. For certificate and diploma courses, you need to possess a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) and a pass in at least four (4) non-religious subjects. Two or three of these subjects must be either mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, or English.

If you wish to enroll in a degree course, you need at least two principal passes of at least "D" grade at the advanced level and a CSEE certificate with a minimum pass of "D" grade in at least four non-religious subjects. Holders of Diploma NTA Level 6 in the various diploma courses are eligible for the degree courses. MUST online application for undergraduate, bachelor's degree, diploma, certificate, and postgraduate students for 2020/2021 academic year is currently open. Here is a step by step joining instruction for Mbeya University of Science and Technology:

• Visit the MUST Online Application System (MUST-OAS)
• Choose the MUST online application of your choice either "MUST Main Campus Online Application" or "MUST Rukwa Campus Online Application".
• Once you click on the link, you will be redirected to another page.
• If you are new on the platform, you should click on the link "Start Application".
• Enter all the details in the section provided, including the application type, where you completed your O'level, your Form IV index number. The Form IV index Number must be the same as in Form IV Certificate

Application deadline for the 2020/2021 intake

The deadline for the application of diploma and postgraduate courses is October 30, 2020. Once the admission portal is closed, new applications will not be submitted. If you wish to apply for admission during the 2020/2021 academic year, submit your application early enough to avoid being left out. The names of successful applicants will be published through the Government newspaper and the university website.

Fee structure and other expenses requirements

If you are pursuing an Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 4-6) program, you can join the university under either Government sponsorship or private sponsorship.
